Experience: 8 to 12 years.
Primary Duties:
Development responsibility of all injection molding (IM) technologies; manage transfer of all IM technologies into series production.
Ensure that respective technology responsibility is inclusive of: an effective process; most viable production solution; sensible error proofing; long-term sustainability; tolerance capable.
Ensure that proper risk assessments are conducted for proposed processes. This includes expert level participation in PFMEA, DFMEA, etc.
Participate in review of process plans to ensure proper attention is given to: completeness and correctness, accurate consideration of cycle times, review of material consumption.
Coordinate with development team to ensure lean processes are being proposed for manufacturing processes
Investigate material selection and compatibility with proposed process.
Consultation in design of parts and preparation of basic data for calculations.
Optimization of products in regard to installations, machines, and tools
Testing of new products and technologies in support of continuous improvement
Creation of data sheets and reports in support of trials, targets for sales and engineering
studies.
Creation of prototypes and sample parts in support of continuous improvement studies.
Recommend approval/disapproval of new technologies to be implemented into the production process
Setup, implementation, and documentation of test procedures
Collaborate in the design of equipment and fixtures. Verify along with the process planner /equipment specialist accuracy of RM's (requirements manuals).
Conduct machine capability studies (MFU); installation of equipment to plant(s) and review of plan for training of personnel and maintenance staff.
Support efforts to reach PPAP in a timely manner
Evaluate viability and offer recommendations for approval/disapproval of PIs.
Expert technical support in series production
Reinforce training in production as required
Implementing and monitoring the coordination and optimization activities for new product launches, with regard to fixtures, machines, and tools associated with IM.
Expedite support towards procurement of internal or external services in support of operations.
Support adherence to the DPM (Draexlmaier Process Management) and SEP processes.
Maintain close interaction with project leads and program managers
Ability to lead multiple sub-projects for DUN-EIN5 Group
All applicable work scope documentation must be archived in PLM for each project.
Other duties as assigned by management or necessary for smooth DRX operationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
