Job Description
Recruiting Solutions is currently searching for a Senior Technician to join our client's branch location in Duncan, SC.
Senior Technician
Performs installation, start up, and check out of commercial security systems (access control, video surveillance and recording, IP and digital video, CCTV, ID badging, etc.) on a construction site or occupied facility in a commercial or industrial environment. Senior Technician will use a laptop computer to document projects and any problems found. Technician will troubleshoot equipment using a multi-meter and hand tools. Some IT skills as well as an electrical or security system background are required. Ability to work on a construction site including the use of step ladders and scaffolding required.
Responsibilities:
o Works with systems engineers to create and/or verify design; creates/reviews job specific programming via computer; creates, migrates, imports, reviews systems databases.
o Network Technologies: Backs up data from data servers and/or creates automated backup procedure; troubleshoots and resolves inconsistencies in the functions or sequence of operations; drives issues to resolution. Sets up and configures PC workstations, user interfaces; data servers, IP Networking devices, protocols, routers, switches, including fiber optics. Confirm proper network performance.
o Project Site Communication and Coordination: Schedules with trade contractors to coordinate start-up services as needed; coordinates network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with customer's IT Department personnel; works with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for integration to their systems.
o Operational Testing, Verification and Acceptance: Runs reports to analyze system operation, works with customer to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work; participates in final inspection and testing; assures customer acceptance; trains customers on system operations. Completes and submits written reports; provides plans and systems documents to engineering for as-built drawings.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and
Experience:
Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training or equivalent experience required.
2-5 years experience in electronic security systems installation or similar field preferred.
IT Networking knowledge and experience.
Some travel required (20%).
Electronics background required with the ability to troubleshoot system circuitry.
Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
Individual must possess a valid Driver's license and be in good standing.
Individual must be at least 25 years of age.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
