The Incoming/Receiving Inspector is a fast-paced, rewarding career opportunity that is extremely important for this company''s growing operations in the greater Greenville Spartanburg, South Carolina area!
Key Responsibilities
Accurate measurements and complete dimensional inspection of components
Performing dimensional analyses, reporting of results, and implementation of inspection plans.
An active role in the improvement of assembly process capabilities and scrap rates of assembled products
The focus of this position will be in the assembly and on incoming inspections of outsourced parts.
Inspection plan (FAI) writing and management.
## Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree or Certificate (ASQ, Certified Tech, etc.)
3- 5 years'' experience in a machine shop environment
Strong background in metrology, having an aptitude for all types of part gauging
Ability to generate and follow inspection plans for a wide variety of machined components and make decisions based on the results of those inspections
Ability to perform gauge R&R; studies
Firm understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;)
Background with running and Brown and Sharpe CMMs, and a willingness to develop programming skills.
Understanding of process audits
Strong understanding of CNC and Manual machining processes
Proven interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to be trained in, and perform Magnetic Particle and Die Penetrant testing. Current certifications a plus.
Background in ISO9001
